Choosing a photographer is one of the most important and often challenging decisions you can make during the wedding planning process, and I want to thank you for considering me for your event. Through creative and candid photography I aim to capture memories in a relaxed, easy-going, and non-intrusive way.
Shooting in a the style of a creative photojournalist, I let the day unfold around me and concentrate on capturing the celebration of love, happiness, joy, laughter, friends and family that define one of the most important and memorable moments of your life.
As a wedding photojournalist I embrace a new style of shooting that is very different from old-fashioned traditionalists. Instead of a series of posed shots, I allow the day to follow a natural progression and position myself to shoot everything in the "spur-of-the-moment". By blending in and staying low key I can capture the emotions that will come to define the day and characterize the celebration.
When the photographer steps back and adopts the role of quiet observer, your family and friends can relax and be comfortable during your celebration. The most poignant pictures come from subjects who aren't even aware a photographer is there.
I prefer to keep posed shots to a minimum, limiting staged portraits to the bridal party and immediate family, as well as a short time dedicated to shooting the bride and groom. I am, however, committed to satisfying your wants and needs and strive to create your perfect wedding photos.
I am based in Albany NY, and am available shoot weddings and commitment ceremonies in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and the greater New England area, and will gladly travel for destination weddings.
